Room 212, Saturday Morning
Dec. 5th, 2015 08:24 amSarah knew things were wrong as soon as she woke up. She didn't hear Felix singing bad pop songs loudly to annoy her, and she didn't smell coffee or toast from Mrs. S.'s attempts to get breakfast on the table. And there was no boy in bed next to her, so she hadn't gone home with anybody, either.
Her first thought was that she had finally gotten on Mrs.S.'s bad side and been carted off to juvie -- but nah, this place was too nice for that.
In an effort to solve the mystery (and possibly track down something worth stealing -- finders keepers, right?) she began poking through a stack of stuff on a nearby desk. So far, all she could tell was that whoever lived here was some kind of nerd.
[OOC: Cosima is Sarah Manning from Orphan Black. Yay clones. Cracked door, open post.]

Date: 2015-12-05 10:29 pm (UTC)Sarah froze at the voice, heart hammering as she tried to decide how to play this.
"I'm not Cosima," she said, managing to sound nonchalant even if she didn't feel it. "Sorry. She said I could stop by to borrow a book. Didn't mean to wake anybody up."

Date: 2015-12-05 10:46 pm (UTC)"Wait, you get bit by a little green thing or something? I mean, you look a little different without your glasses, but not THAT much."

Date: 2015-12-05 10:58 pm (UTC)Sarah was a good enough baby grifter to talk her way out of a lot of things. She was not good enough to talk her way out of this one yet. (Identity theft as a way of life wouldn't occur to her for another decade or so.)

Date: 2015-12-05 11:04 pm (UTC)"Cosima sent you to borrow a book, huh? While I was sleepin'. So if you're such good friends, why don't you tell me her last name?"
Don't try to grift a fellow conwoman, Sarah, it's rude.

Date: 2015-12-05 11:21 pm (UTC)She smiled back at Ms. Nosy Roommate anyhow. "Look, if you're going to be rude about it, I'll come back when she's here," she said, in cockney intonations that were little like Cosima's Californian drawl. "And I still don't know what you mean about me looking like her. Maybe you're the one that needs glasses."

Date: 2015-12-06 01:17 am (UTC)"My name's Sarah. I woke up here," she said flatly. "All right? I woke up here, except I don't know where here is, so I looked at the desk to see if I could figure it out. When you talked to me I freaked out and lied. I wasn't trying to rip you off or nothing, promise."
She'd been thinking about it, but thinking about wasn't trying.
"I never even saw Cosima. Don't know why I look like her. Don't really know a thing about her except her desk makes her look like a right nerd."

Date: 2015-12-06 04:35 pm (UTC)"But hang on a sec." Ada trotted back over to her bed to pick up her phone. "You gotta see this." It took her a moment to flip through pictures, but then she held up one of Cosima. "See what I mean?"

"Freaky," she contributed. "She could be my twin, yeah. Is this some kind of joke?"

Date: 2015-12-06 09:15 pm (UTC)It could still be a gremlin bite for all Ada knew, since this 'Sarah' was so much like Cosima that it was creepy.
